Backseat Cities
Announcing Backseat Cities: Travels Through Places People Only Live In
Backseat Cities are places which, fairly or not, "take a backseat" to big tourist destinations like New York and small towns such as Carmel.
Backseat Cities is the story of my travels to fun and exciting mid-sized cities, overlooked by travelers and the travel industry:
- Lafayette, LA: The Heart of Cajun Country
- Cleveland, OH: Columbus's Hot Sister
- Rochester, NY: The Jewel in Western New York's I-90 Crown. You read that right.
- Boise, ID: The Land of Lincoln and Happy People

Quick and easy. The occasional email from me. I will never sell your address.
Most blog posts will be about travel, writing, or travel writing.
I will stray, though, and it could go anywhere. Reviews of classic rock, a spy novel, an old episode of Six Feet Under, or the latest summer blockbuster. I might report on a Crew game or just tell a story.
